The Australian Charities and Not-for-profit Commission of the Australian government has recently registered ‘Sparrows Dawn’ as a charity, an organization formed in the honour of famous actor Johnny Depp by one of his fans.

The charity organisation has been formed by fans of the actor to help the male victims of domestic violence. The firm will help the male victims in Australia. The name of the organisation has been kept after the actor’s famous Captain Jack Sparrow character.

A US jury had recently convicted Johnny Depp’s ex-wife Amber Heard guilty of defamation after a protracted trial centered on hotly disputed allegations of domestic violence, but they sided more strongly with the “Pirates of the Caribbean” actor. The verdict was reached at the conclusion of a six-week trial that was built around outrageous accusations and denials made by the Hollywood celebrities. A Virginia jury of seven found that Heard’s essay from 2018 describing her experience with “sexual assault” was defamatory to Depp and awarded the 58-year-old actor $15 million in damages.

The Australians welcomed the move and reached out to Twitter. People said that Sparrows Dawn will be a charity that will stand with the male victims of domestic violence in Australia and that people are thrilled with the efforts of one Stevie J Raw, who is the founder of the organization.

It was learnt that a fundraiser was also started in the organisation’s name in which over 103 donations have been made so far and an amount of 4152 Australian dollars has been raised against the goal of AU $8000. The fundraiser was called ‘creating a domestic violence shelter for men’.

Johnny himself is very active in charity works. As part of a $1.17 million tribute to charity, actor Johnny Depp has recently given a sizable sum to a children’s hospital in Australia. After the sale of non-fungible tokens, or NFTs, which are digital assets that reflect actual goods like artwork or video games, a payment was made to a charitable organization.

The money was divided among the Perth Children’s Hospital, the Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity in the UK, the Children’s Hospital of Los Angeles, and Robert Downey Jr.’s Footprint Coalition, which supports non-profit groups that promote environmental sustainability.
