John  Hughes  was born on February 18, 1950 in Lansing, Michigan. His father John HughesSr. was a sales man and his mother Marion Crawford was a charity worker. Hughes did his studies from Grove Middle School, later going on to Glenbrook North High School. He met his future wife Nancy Ludwig while studying in high school.  Hughes was a kind of quite child.

He is popular for his work in  movies like  National Lampoon’s Vacation and its,  Mr. Mom , Sixteen Candles, Weird Science , The Breakfast Club , Ferris Bueller’s Day Off , Pretty in Pink  and Uncle Buck. His greatest success came with Home Alone which was the top-grossing film of 1990. Then he followed up Home Alone 2: Lost in New York and Home Alone 3 in 1997. He also wrote and produced movie that contain elements of the movie Home Alone , including Dennis the Menace and Baby’s Day Out. John Hughes net worth was $150 Million. 

 

Personal Life of Hughes

Hughes was married to his love of life Nancy Ludwig, whom he  met with in high school. They had two children together. John Hughes III and James Hughes. Hughes and his wife lived together until his death. Hughes died an unexpected death due to heart attack on August 6, 2009.
