US media have claimed that Breaking Bad actor Mike Batayeh, who played the manager of a laundromat turned meth lab on the show, passed away at 52.
According to statements made by the actor and comedian’s family to TMZ on June 1, the actor and comedian Mike Batayeh passed away after a heart attack while sleeping at his home in Michigan.
The family claims that Batayeh did not have a history of cardiac problems; hence, they describe his passing as highly unexpected.
In an official statement, his family stated, “He will be surely missed by all those who loved him” and others who admired his profession. “He will be greatly missed by those who loved him.”
In 2011, Batayeh was a guest star in three episodes of the critically acclaimed drama Breaking Bad, which aired on AMC between 2008 and 2013.
In the program, Mike Batayeh was known as Dennis Markowski, the Lavanderia Brillante industrial laundromat manager. This laundromat was a notorious coverup for a large-scale meth lab operation.
In addition to that, Mike Batayeh was a comedian and voice actor.
Throughout his career, he appeared in several films, such as American Dreamz and Detroit Unleaded, as well as on several different television shows, such as The Bernie Mac Show and CSI: Miami.
In addition, he provided his voice for a character in the film X-Men: Days of Future Past.
According to the online obituary, Batayeh is survived by five siblings and many extended relatives.
Colleagues and costars shared their condolences and paid tribute to him.
“And by everyone, I mean everyone. There is not a single person I have ever introduced you to or a waitress who has ever taken our order that you have not made laugh, think, inspire, or root for.”
“You were the superstar we always admired and one of the funniest men I’ve ever known,” wrote Yorg Kerasiotis, Batayeh’s costar on Detroit Unleaded, in a message to Batayeh’s family and friends after the actor’s passing. “Please rest in peace.”
