Due to a components issue with a supplier, Harley-Davidson Inc announced on Thursday that all vehicle assembly and shipments will be halted for two weeks, barring those from its electric vehicle company LiveWire.
Harley-Davidson said it made the decision after a third-party supplier advised them of a regulatory compliance issue with one of its component parts.
Harley-stock Davidson’s plunged 9% to $32.51 in premarket trading after the company did not react to media requests for further information on the suspension.
Harley-Davidson, located in Milwaukee, announced a dip in first-quarter profit in April, citing rising prices and chip shortages as reasons.
Motorcycle sales in North America were hampered by supply chain issues, which led in decreased dealer stocks, according to the business.
