After horrifying information from a hospital in Punjab province revealed that multiple dead were discovered dumped on the rooftop of Nishtar hospital, the Pakistani government started an investigation. The advisor to Pakistan’s Punjab chief minister Chaudhry Zaman Gujjar visited the hospital in Multan, around 350 kilometers from Lahore, as soon as the tragedy came to light, and he ordered that the bodies be cremated. Additionally, he gave the health authorities orders to discipline the involved staff.
A six-person team was established and given three days to conclude the investigation and determine who was responsible. The committee is headed by Muzamil Bashir, a specialist in the field of health.
There have been rumors that dead bodies were stored there to serve as vulture and eagle nourishment after a video went viral showing many decomposing carcasses laying on a rooftop in a pitiful condition.
Maryam Asharf, a professor at Nishtar Medical University, stated in a statement that students use these bodies for medical experiments in conformity with government regulations.
“These bodies’ decomposition has already started, and they were placed on the roof of the abandoned house for various medical reasons. According to the government’s established regulations, students use these bodies in medical experiments, she claimed.
