The enhanced visa program for the United Arab Emirates (UAE), which was announced last month, is scheduled to go into force on Monday. A 10-year extended golden visa program, a five-year green residence that benefits skilled employees, and new multiple-entry tourist visas that permit travelers to stay in the country for up to 90 days are all included in the new visa regulations.
Visitors, as well as anyone wishing to work or live in the UAE, may be significantly impacted by the changes to the immigration laws.
The following are the main adjustments made by the UAE‘s new immigration laws:
1. Foreigners will be able to sponsor themselves under the five-year green visa without the assistance of a UAE national or their company. Freelancers, skilled workers, and investors are all eligible for this visa.
2. Green card holders can also sponsor members of their family.
3. If a green card holder’s permit expires, they will be offered a grace period of up to six months.
4. Under the Golden Visa, investors, business owners, and those with remarkable talents will be eligible for a 10-year enhanced residency.
5. Those who possess a golden visa may sponsor children and family members.
6. After the death of the bearer of a golden visa, family members may continue to reside in the UAE as long as the visa is still in effect.
7. 100% ownership of their enterprises will also be an advantage to holders of golden visas.
8. Travelers will now be able to stay in the UAE for 60 days on a tourist visa.
10. Professionals will be able to look for work in the UAE without a sponsor or host thanks to the job exploration visa.
