Demonstrating his passion, a 21-year-old from China has recreated this famous house, investing an impressive $400,000 (about ₹3.5 crores) to live in it.
Shen, a dedicated Shin-Chan enthusiast, fulfilled his dream by transforming his family’s sheep farm into this unique project. He spent over a year on the endeavor, even going to great lengths to secure official rights for the property. According to Record China, Shen found the exclusive licensing agent for Crayon Shin-chan in China and made five trips to Shanghai to finalize the deal.
Construction began in July 2024, with Shen sourcing custom-made materials, significantly adding to the project’s cost. With financial support from his mother, Shen successfully brought his vision to life. The nearly finished house spans around 100 square meters and is expected to become a popular spot for photography, drawing fans and cosplayers from around the globe.
Shen’s ambitions extend beyond the house. He plans to recreate Futaba Kindergarten from the anime, turning it into an educational center. In the future, Shen dreams of building the entire Kasukabe Town from Shin-Chan, offering fans an immersive experience like never before.
Crayon Shin-chan, created by Yoshito Usui, first appeared as a manga in 1990 and quickly gained a loyal fan base with its unique humor and relatable characters. Despite Usui’s untimely passing in 2009, his team continued the legacy under Yoshito Usui & UY Studio.
